AKIKO #1: Gosh-a-rooty! The first of the ongoing Akiko series by Mark Crilley, in which she sees Sky-pirate ships by the Smoo shore. The gang from AKIKO ON THE PLANET SMOO is back, only this time the prince really does need rescuing. The one-shot left me wondering whether it could really sustain my interest as an ongoing series, but this goes a long way towards dispelling any doubts. It's been a while since a cliff-hanger really left me wanting more, but I want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW. Totally, totally nifty.
