Scandal Takes a Holiday

I've just finished reading Lindsey Davis's most recent Marcus Didius Falco novel, Scandal Takes a Holiday, and enjoyed it a lot. And, as usual, it puts me in the mood to wrestle with some more Latin so expect to see some more entries over the next few days.

I don't have much of a review for it. It's just like all her other Falco novels, in that it has great period detail (reign of Vespasian), wonderful characters, fast pace, and a decent but not stellar mystery plot. She's one of the handful of authors that I buy in hardback because I just can't stand waiting for the paperback, and if you're interested in classical Rome and/or historical mysteries I can't recommend the entire series strongly enough.
