This is the series that got my sister hooked on comics, and for that I'm eternally grateful. Personally, I think it started off with a bang, with funny and haunting small-scale stories of friendship, and eventually lost its way in melodramatic action and political intrigue, but at its best there's nothing to match it--you feel it's a pity that Katchoo and Francine aren't real.
